•Jon and Kate plus eight - Looking forward to tomorrow night's episode - Kate's brother and sister in law, Jodi are speaking out, Is that right?

I hope Jon and Kate can pull this whole thing together for the children.  It will be so painful for them.  I pray that God can heal their differences and wounds.  I am watching not to judge but to support.

•We went to see Monsters versus Aliens. Review... Reese Witherspoon good job.

Cool animation.  Good story.  Seven year old loved it. Twelve year old loved it.  I loved it at 45.  My seven year old who had his tonsils out last Thanksgiving, was very into it, I could hear him breathing because he was whistling.  It was a nice movie.  Took our mind off other things.

•News from 1st Grade... I learned a lot at Wendy's

Well the field trip was a learning experience for me.  This is the only field trip I have ever gone on with Jesse.  I observed how he interacted with the other kids.  With the boys... he is just one of them.  They chose where they wanted to sit in Wendy's and he sat at the only table with all boys.  One of the other parents told me I had the worst table having to handle all those boys, 4 to be exact.  The all got along well and loved to laugh and cut up.  They were all rowdy but Jesse chose to sit on my lap after he ate so he never got too rowdy.  I am proud of my son!  Jesse asked me if I could walk with them back to the school and I checked my battery power and told him I would.  One the walk back to school, Jesse was surrounded by girls!  They were tickling him, laughing with him, giving him funny looks, they just loved him!  I wonder how long this has been going on.  Maybe it was this way in kindergarten as well.  I pray I will be able to come into the school more during 2nd grade so I can get to know the kids.  I wasn't able to do that with Aud, or Mad, so I always felt I missed out on so much.  I wasn't able to come in with Aud because I used a cane and it was near impossible, but I did go in to some of the parties.  With Mad I wasn't able to come in because I had a 1 year old to chase and he wasn't allowed on field trips and such.  I went with Maddie's class to 02B Kids in gainesville and I drove Jesse all the way to Green Cove to have Aunt Dee watch him for me, then all the way to Gainesville, then back to Green Cove to pick up Jess.  You can see how this would be near impossible to do on a regular basis.

•To Wendys, CVS, Field Trip, It was a big day for me!

Ok, everyone, I need you to pray for me this morning. When you are blessed with a disability as I am (Muscular Dystrophy), it takes you way out of your comfort zone (falling in public, can't get up, have to ask people to pump your gas, asking for help when it isn't in your DNA makeup, (I love my independence!) and the list goes on.) I have to shorten this post or continue on another post...........

.... Cont. Long story short.. I am no longer strong enough to load my wheelchair to go anywhere (but I can still drive, thank you Jesus). I have missed all of Jesse's Kindergarten year and now his 1st grade year as well. His class is taking a field trip today to Wendy's and I am gonna try to meet them there by driving my wheelchair. I need your prayers! It is not supposed to rain until 3:30 or so. Later....

...made it back safely. No problems, thank you Jesus. It was nice to meet some of Jesse's friends. They had a good time. I ran in CVS for a minute and that was the first time I had been inside our CVS or our Wendy's. My circle of life is generally pretty small, I go to church, school for pick up and drop off, and Walmart, Starke for groceries. Thanks for your prayers, love ya!

•Payless - Outstanding Shoes...

I have to share pics of these shoes Maddie tried on at Payless. There are no words to describe them. She could barely walk in these, she had to hang onto the racks.

•Our Mall: J C Penney's & Payless

Monday, Memorial Day, May 25, 2009
Heading to mall to look for 6th grade graduation dress. Looking for a bargain, I never pay full price, it has to be on sale. I am so excited to be going somewhere besides school and church. You can tell I don't get out much. Thank a vet or their family today!

We found a dress for 6th grade graduation at Penneys. Nothing spectactular, more of a church dress. She liked it, that is all that matters. BTW, shopping with a 12 year old girl and a budget sometimes doesn't fit together well. I can tell you this much, it wasn't all nicey, nicey, however we did make it home in one piece. The shoes we got at Payless outside Penneys. Maddie is a blessing to me.

•Pray for our Country....

 #1. Pray for our Country.

#2. Use any opportunity you can to stand up for our Saviour. If we don't stand up for Him, who will? It is our turn and our time in history to talk about our beliefs. We are not gonna live forever, only what we do for Jesus counts. Think about it, who remembers or knows anything about our Great, Great, Great Grandmother? Only what she did for Christ matters. In a few generations we will also be forgotten about but the work we did for Jesus will live on.

•I have my own quote. I am so excited. "As hard as I try not to look stupid, it never seems to work out."

Yes, I finally, after 45 years have come up with my own unique quote.  You can use it if you want, just leave me a comment telling me about it.

"As hard as I try not to look stupid, it never seems to work out."

•Sad to watch. Jon and Kate or John and Kate problems aired for all to watch

We tuned in last night to see the 5th season premier of Jon and Kate plus eight.  I was so saddened.  Not only for the kids, but for Jon and Kate.  The parents are hurting in different ways from the children, but hurting, nonetheless.  I have seen this hurt in my marriage but it has never come to this point or been aired on television.  I feel for them, for they have lost their way.  It is gonna take God to put this all back together, but it is doable, for all things work together for good for those who love the Lord.  It was hard to watch because you could feel their pain.  I would never, ever judge them.  I am sure they both regret things that they have said or done.  Been there, done that.  Let's pray for them, for there is power in prayer.  Let's not judge, just love them.  I know that the only one who brings me peace will bring them peace as well.

•To be totally honest with people. Inside and out. That is one of my biggest goals.

The truth shall set you free.  I always have kept myself guarded, never totally being myself.  Always worrying about what people thought of me.  I always thought that I wasn't good enough, felt as though others thought I was bad.  Sounds crazy, I know, but I believe it is more common than we think.  It still haunts me today.  It has kept me locked up within myself.  I never hd many friends and those I did have didn't stand a chance, as soon as they failed me in some way, I dropped them like a hot potato.  I like think I like myself, I love spending time alone, just me.  But ... in some ways I hate myself.  At another time I will post about things from when I was a little girl, stay tuned for that.  What I am trying to say is those who were supposed to nurture me and teach me to love myself were incapable of doing so.  For a long time, I felt as if I were a broken vessel and there was no use for me.  (I heard that a lot growing up as a little girl)  But because of Jesus I now know that not to be true.  He would have died for me even if I was the only one on earth.  That is all that I need.  I want to be able to talk to people and not have to be behind a person that I think everyone will like.  I am working on it.  Help me Lord, be all that you have created me to be, nothing more, nothing less.  I know I am good enough.

•Our trip to Silver Springs, FL, Glass Bottom Boats

Yes, I had heard about it all my life but had never been.  I went with my daughter for a field trip.  It was phenomenal.  It wasn't disney world.  But for me at 45, it was better.  If you want to see what the real florida is all about, visit Silver Springs.  Not much has changed there.  One kind gentleman told me that the 5 glass bottom boats that they are using today are the same ones they used in the 60's.  I couldn't get on the boat because of my wheelchair but my daughter did and it is a ride she will never forget.  I looked at the springs from a fenced area and they were beautiful, very clear and you could see fish and big turtles.  While I was waiting on my daughter to come back from her 30 minute excursion on the boat, I just breathed in the beauty that surrounded me.  It was an overcast day so that was even better, I wouldn't melt in the heat and it was just more enjoyable.  Another reason I wanted to go was to see the Cougars and Florida Panthers.  I could watch them for hours.  Some cages were empty but we did spot one blondish panther over in the corner of the pen.  Of course I had to talk to the big kitty.  She had dug out a spot on the cool dirt and was watching us.  Actually she had a death stare on me and it freaked me out because I knew she could rip me to shreds.  It could have been the wheelchair that interested her, the sound of the motor or something.  I will post more later about our trip and some photos.  Advice:  Go to Silver Springs if you can, it's simple and very sweet!

•For the Record.... Easter Dress for my 12 year old

We were looking for a costume for her to wear in her odyssey play.  We went to goodwill (needed to look like a school teacher.)  We came across a lovely "Worthington" skirt and I said Maddie you have good taste it is a Worthington from JC Penneys.  We did not use it for the costume after all but I said if we don't find an Easter dress that we like better we can wear this. Well about twoweeks later I got a cute, peach/coral, matching shirt and I told Maddie last night and it was the end of the world.  I had offended her immensely.  Lots of drama and she told me how wrong wearing that would be in so many ways.  I said you can't beat it, good brand, quality, color, price and most importantly a great fit. Now that is hard to find all these.  I will update on how it went after Easter.

•What I find intoxicating...

The smell of fresh cut grass.
The feel of a cool breeze blowing.
The sound of birds singing.
The first spoonful of ice cream, after the first taste the rest is just redundant.
The smell of the ocean.
The sound of waves roaring.
Starring at the ocean.
God' wonderful little unique gifts; seashells. (Do u c a pattern forming here? Yes! I love the ocean!)

•Hearing loss?

I'm only 45. Is it normal 2 find urself restarting ur car bcause u can't hear it running? It can be downright embarrassing. It makes a grand noise when u do that, announcing 2 the world that ur an idiot.

•The plants are loving the rain....

We have had some very hot temperatures since Easter.  It was so hot, we were sweating and miserable trying to hide and hunt Easter eggs.  By the time Mother's Day rolled around I knew I could not do another "outside event."  I had made up my mind that, if invited to a cookout, we would have to decline politely and be honest about it, the heat drains me and makes me ill.  Well we did get an invitation and we had in conscious intended on going.  But... as hot days went by, I knew it just couldn't happen.  The inviters were disappointed but I knew my health couldn't handle it.  Oh happy day when the rains came.  It is forecasted for the next week, and we are starting to wonder where it is coming from.  Great blessings from above!  My plants thinks they have died and gone to heaven.

•Now or Never...

It is today.  It is now.  This moment will never come again.  We are told we are but a vapor.  I believe we better get busy.  It is our turn and it is our time in history.  Now let's get out there and make a difference.
